BLAH.
Things seem blah.

yaaaaawnAnne and I got back safely. The snowboarding was excellent. Truly, couldn’t have been better! 3 feet of fresh powder and more every night… clear blue skies… warm weather… Snowboarding on powder is like surfing. Nothing at all like snowboarding here back East! It really took rather a bit of getting used to (and a bit of digging myself out of the base of certain trees in the glades…) Bought myself a nice Boeri helmet and successfully averted head injuries. I really am awfully fond of my sister. Finally got my table and bench for my keyboard! The cedar smells awesome. Photos to come. But, too exhausted tonight. More later… So today was tAnne and my first day of snowboarding here in Jackson Hole. Let me just say, the snow here is a hundred thousand times better than back East. I am never going to be happy snowboarding in New England again! It started out with a snowstorm and a gale which made the visibility about zero. but at noon, the sky turned beautifully blue and the wind ceased. The scenery was stunning but then we all started boiling from overheating! I fell on my head during the second run (sudden snow-filled wind came up and I fell down a drop) so I bought myself a snowboarding helmet this evening. I refuse to have any more head injuries! I went to practice the piano at about 4 today (we have access to the performance hall in Teton Village where there are several nice grand pianos). As I was walking back to the condo, watching the sun set red behind the mountains, I felt a sense of total calm and peace. I really am happy to be back in Wyoming, after these 6 (six!!) years. I remember now what I loved so much about it when I was 19 that I wanted to move here. for lack of better words…I am completely, utterly, wretchedly, retchingly, bitterly, breath-catchingly, abysmally, heart-clenchingly, miserable right now. And I am just fiercly stupid to boot. And no, I don’t want to talk about it… Well, I just found out that my plane for Wyoming leaves TOMORROW (now today!) at 7AM not Sunday! Gahhh! I never make mistakes like these!! In any case… have a good weekend everyone and I will be sure to let everyone know if I break any arms or legs while snowboarding… Ahhhh…. SPRING. Didn’t I start another recent entry like that? So day after tomorrow Anne and I are going to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, for a week of sister-bonding, sloth and snowboarding! To celebrate this crazy winter’s going out with a bang… I am psyched. It’ll be good to get away form here, to get away from everyone (sorry!), to take a little break from Boston, work, and people I know. Who knows, maybe I will become a nice and patient and kindly person by the time I come back and stop fighting with my friends (then again, perhaps not…) Fewer leaves are falling off my tree, thank goodness. Perhaps it will survive! Mysteries of the InternetWow! Somehow when you do a search on “Rally Racer 2003″ in Google, I come up third! Or in Yahoo, second! The only things before me are the official Rally Racer site! Isn’t that weird? After all this time, trying to figure out how to get websites high up in search engines (for my sister’s websites) my own, mainly meta-tag free never-promoted site consistantly turns up on the first page of Google and Yahoo when you put in random things like Rally Racer 2003 or Nadia S*****… (On another note, which I’m sure Nadia will greatly apprecite… if one enters in “Faces of Nadia”, after the first two Google things which are of course my website, one gets “Watch Nadia Nyce Get ’splashed’. Video, approx 4hrs. HAIRY HUMPERS. …” bah!Incidentally, those Rally Racer wenches REFUSED me!! At least, I am assuming they did, given that I didn’t hear from them by March 15th :’( Alas, there goes my career as a race car driver. Amusingly enough, this reporter from the Albany-NY Times Automotive Weekly paper just contacted me to ask if he could ask me some questions about my desire to participate in such a thing… Mmmm… I do love Kavli crackers with peanut butter and all-fruit apricot spread… This is my standard breakfast… 4 crackers, two with peanut butter and two with jam. Mmmm! I know it isn’t kosher according to Suzanne Somers… but dammit, woman, bacon and eggs are too damn troublesome to make every morning!!! ***** I repotted my tree the other day and simultaneously cleaned off my balcony. I had a thoroughly excellent time throwing huge pieces of garbage off the balcony into the dumpster two floors below. I must say I have terrific aim… So here is my tree. Can ANYONE tell me what kind of tree it is? Leaves have been falling off it and I am worried. I couldn’t stand it if my beautiful tree died! Maybe if I knew what kind it was I’d know how to take care of it better… I hope it doesn’t have a disease… ![]() Here is a wound that never will heal, I know, |
