They’re starting to name toothbrushes like SUVs now. This morning I went to Walgreen’s to buy a toothbrush, and I walked out with – I kid you not – a Colgate Navigator. At $1.99, it is a hell of a better deal than the Lincoln version 
So I am apartment-sitting for Derek for two and a half weeks. He took off yesterday so last night was the first night I spent at his place. Nice place, good location, but everything is so clean that I am afraid I am going to wreck something! And I fear there might be gremlins with hammers living inside the heating unit 
For the next two weeks I am going to ignore everybody and take a vacation. I am taking two weeks off hockey while my head recovers completely and I think I’ll take two weeks of social activities too… it has been a long time since I had some alone time and I relish the thought of being by myself and reading a book for hours.
These are my New Year’s Resolutions:
1. Stop going to bed at 3AM
2. Stop being hit on the head in hockey
3. Stop scavenging for food and actually buy food once in a while
4. Find a place to live! Arrr!
5. Stop fighting with Bryant
6. Blow-dry hair on a regular basis (so maybe I shouldn’t let the hair-cutting people guilt trip me but…)
Bah, this room-hunt is getting me down. Hell, money is getting me down. And I still need to think of something to get my brother for Christmas…
